Shawn Patrick Foglesong, age 54, of Point Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Rivers Health. He was born July 17, 1971, in Point Pleasant, a son to the late Patrick Edward Foglesong and Vada (McClanahan) Nutter. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Foglesong.

Shawn was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran and had worked as the safety coordinator for Babcock and Wilcox. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was proud to have been the quarterback for his Point Pleasant Big Blacks, graduating in 1990.

In addition to his mother, Shawn is survived by his sisters and brother, Charlotte (Tim) Reed, Point Pleasant, Teva Nutter Smith, of Henderson, and Ronald J. Wilkinson, of Florida; nieces and nephews, Ember (Cody) Mullins, Alexina Landry, Timothy Reed, Alec Smith; and many extended family and friends.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Private burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens, with Bob Patterson officiating. There will be military honors rendered by the Stewart-Johnson Post #9926, from Mason, WV.
