Delmer "Sonny" Wesley Hill, 53, of Leon, WV, passed away, Friday evening, October 1, 2010. He had served in the Army for a short period of time and was a self-employed contractor.

Sonny was born, January 5, 1957, in Charleston, WV, to the late Elvin Hill and Sally (Plants) Hill. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a baby brother, Steven E. Hill; maternal grandparents, Wesley and Luella Plants; paternal grandparents, Delmer and Virgie Hill; an aunt, Mary Margaret Plants and an uncle, Larry Plants;.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Pauline (Hudson) Hill of Leon, WV; his mother, Sally (Plants) Hill of Dunbar; his daughters, Jennifer Hudson of Point Pleasant and Misty Hudson and her husband, Shayne, of Point Pleasant and a son, David Hill of Henderson; his brothers, Randy Hill and Larry Hill both of Dunbar and Daniel Hill of North Carolina; one sister, Katherine Fultz of Evans and his grandchildren, Donovan, Shannon, Autumn, Destiny, Marshall, Dakota, Wesley and Alexander.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Reverend Lawrence Gray, officiating. Burial will follow in Eddy Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
