Stephen K. Darst, age 82, of Point Pleasant, passed into the loving arms of his Lord on Friday evening, June 19, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was retired from Goodyear/Shell/M&G Polymers.  He was a member and deacon of Concord Baptist Church.  He was a 1956 graduate of PPHS and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.  Stephen was born August 27, 1937, in Mason County, a son of the late Miles A. and Mary (Snodgrass) Darst.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Darst and brother-in-law, David Hinkel.

Stephen leaves behind his beloved wife, Anna Virginia Darst; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Jody Darst and Jason and Heather Darst, all residing in Point Pleasant; four beautiful granddaughters, Alexandra and K.C. Huth, Rebekah Darst, Olivia Snyder and Sydnee Darst; soon to be born great-granddaughter, Emerson Clark; brother, Miles A. Darst, Jr., of Newark, DE; sisters, Lois Hinkel, of Goshen, IN and Emma Kielmeyer, of Pickerington, OH; sister-in-law, Carolyn Darst, of Columbus, OH; niece, nephews and many extended family.

There will be a graveside service on Monday, June 22, 2020, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, with Brother Chad Foreman officiating.  Burial will follow.  There will be no visitation, and all are asked to follow the guidelines of the CDC, during this unprecedented time.  You may offer condolences to the family on this page.
