Steven E. DeWeese, 42, of Leon, passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at his home. He had worked for the Stellar Corporation as a pipefitter and loved being outdoors, where he loved to hunt and fish. He was a 1993 graduate of Point Pleasant High School. Steve was a Christian, having given his life to Christ. He was born January 30, 1975, in Gallipolis, a son to Keith and Bernice (Dunlap) DeWeese, of Leon. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Howard DeWeese and maternal grandfather, Clyde Dunlap.
In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by his wife, Regina (Bowen) DeWeese; son Bowen Clyde DeWeese; daughter, Carson; step-daughter, Alana Edwards; brother and sister-in-law and their children, Scott and Shannon DeWeese, of Pomeroy, OH; paternal grandmother, Thelma DeWeese; and maternal grandmother, Anna Dunlap.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Mark Mayes officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
