Terrell Andrew Hurt, age 21, Point Pleasant, WV, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2014. He was born January 5, 1993 at Pleasant Valley Hospital Point Pleasant, WV. and is the son of Virginia Lynn Smith of Point Pleasant and Richard Allen Hurt of Gallipolis, Oh.
He was preceeded in death by his Great-Grandmother Virginia Snodgrass of Henderson, Grandparents William and Mary Hurt of Bidwell, Oh and Carl (Sonny) Morrison.
Terrell is survived by his parents, Lynn Smith, of Point Pleasant, and Richard Hurt and Donna Borden of Gallipolis, Oh. sisters; TaKeesha Smith, Point Pleasant, WV and Synthia Hurt, Gallipolis, brothers D'Angelo Armstrong, Point Pleasant, WV Richard A. Hurt II, Gallipolis, Oh. Two nephews; Jackson Romello Smith, and Malik Hurt, Gallipolis, Oh. Maternal grandparents Linda and the late Michael Bates, Ft. Worth, Tx and Wallace A. Smith III, Point Pleasant, WV
Terrell attended Mount Carmel Church in Bidwell, Oh. and was a 2011 graduate of Point Pleasant High School, after graduation he joined the West Virginia National Guard.
Terrell was assigned to the 111th EN BDE, WVARNG, in Eleanor, WV during this service to his country Terrell was awarded: National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, WV Emergency Service Ribbon 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, WV State Service Ribbon 1 Oak Leaf Cluster as well as ARCOM.
Terrell also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins along with a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday March 20, 2014 at the funeral home from 6-8 PM, funeral service will be Friday March 21, 2014 at the funeral home beginning at 1PM with Rev. Dr. Gene Armstrong officiating and musical selections by Christian Scott with burial in Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant to follow with full military honors rendered by the West Virginia National Guard.
