Thelma L. Mattox age 88, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away Saturday March 25, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born September 12,1928 to John and Ora (Fleeman) Richmond.
She married William Edward Mattox November 22, 1954 and he passed away in 1998. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceeded in death by an infant son, Ferlin Edward Mattox, brother Leon Richmond and Sister Barbara Althied.
Thelma is survived by sons, Richard (Cindy) Mattox, Point Pleasant, Joseph (Beverly) Mattox, Leon WV; daughters Deanna (Henry) Stewart, and Donna (Troy) Hesson, Point Pleasant; 8 grandchildren, Billy Mattox, Mitzi (Ryan) Ilagan, Newt (Cassie) Mattox, Josh Mattox, Lori (Danny) Shobe, Joey (Pam) Stewart, Megan (Joe) Kinnard and Ryan and Jacob Hesson; 9 great-grandchildren, Karrisa Mattox-Lab, Makayla Ilagan, Amelia Mattox, Mikayla and Emma Shobe, Ava and Ella Stewart, Eli and Scotlyn Kinnard; and sisters, Nina Syx and Mickie Rose.
There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Suncrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
