Obituary

Thomas H. "King" Kearns, 75, of Mason, passed into the arms of his Savior, on Monday, March 8, 2021, at Camden-Clark Medical Center, surrounded by his family.  He was retired from American Alloys.  He was instrumental in the creation of the Mason Rescue Squad.  King was the self-proclaimed "Mayor of Clifton!"  He was also a faithful member of the First Church of God, in Point Pleasant.

King was born May 21, 1945, in Clifton, a son to the late Joseph and Mary (Bass) Kearns.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Edith "Tootie" Kearns; and siblings (and in-laws), Virginia Mae, Albert, Carl (Pam) Kearns, Rose (Ralph) Hall, Sarah (Bill) Roush), Harry (Betty) Kearns, Philis Whittington (Wood), Jim Duncan, Billy Stewart, Billie (Stanley) Jones.

King is survived by his children, Tina (John) Cundiff, of Point Pleasant, and Carl (Heather) Kearns, of Mason; grandchildren, Carlie (Donnie) Whan, T.R. (Stephanie) Cundiff and MacKenzie Kearns, great-grandson, Wyatt Cundiff; companion, Sharon Roush; and siblings, Danny (Joyce) Kearns, Goldie Duncan, Linda Stewart, Marion (Robert) Ohlinger, Kenny (Doris) Kearns, Charles "Monk" (Peach) Kearns; and many extended family, friends and church family, who will all miss him.

There will be a graveside service at Union Cemetery, New Haven, at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 28, 2021, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating.  The family has asked that contributions be made in King's memory to the First Church of God Building Fund, or Family Student Ministries, 2401 Jefferson Ave., Point Pleasant, WV, 25550.  You may offer condolences to the family via this webpage.
