Tony Lee
Moore Jr.
September 2, 1983 – April 22, 2018
Tony Lee Moore, Jr., age 34 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at his home in Reynoldsburg Ohio. He was born to Donita Ward-Beam and Tony Lee Moore, Sr. on September 2, 1983, in Dayton, Ohio. Tony was a remarkable person that always loved life and had a great sense of humor, an infectious smile, and laughter that could light up a room and turn someones sad times into happy ones. Family was the center of his foundation; he lived for the family gatherings, the cookouts or just the times we just all sat around talking about the old times. Tony loved to dress and had an exceptional sense of fashion. He was a loving uncle that made each child feel unique. Tony was the protector of the woman in his family. Helping people less fortunate than himself was another passion. He would give his last to someone if he thought that they were hungry. Tony was a genuine people person, and if you knew him you know, he never met a stranger.
Tony attended Central Elementary school where his love for basketball began; he then attended Point Pleasant Junior, and Senior High School until 1998. Tony joined the Blue Devils where he gained many of his qualities and passion for teamwork. Under the guidance of Coach Jim Osborne and Coach Roger Brandeberry, Tony learned a great deal about leadership. He enjoyed basketball, football, and track and won many awards including MVP, SEOAL all-district, 2001-2002 all Ohio team with a special mention along with Lebron James. Tony graduated in 2002 from Gallia Academy. Tony was a leader and was well-respected by his teammates. Of all the awards he received in 2002, his greatest was his daughter Brooklyn, his twin. He loved her more than anything in this world. He was not perfect, but his love for her was genuine.
Tony accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age by William (Billy) Smith in krodel park. Tony attended Kingdom Christian Center in Whitehall, OH.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Richard A. Franklin, Sr., paternal grandfather Richard Carson, and uncle Richard A. Franklin, Jr.
Tony is survived by his parents, daughter Brooklyn Hill of Gallipolis, OH. Maternal grandmother Marcella (Ward) Akbar of Dayton, OH. Paternal grandmother Essie Kate Moore of Dayton, OH.
