Violet Louise Gillespie 93, passed away March 8, 2013 in Melborne Fl.
Violet L. (Pomeroy) Gillespie, was born October 2, 1919 in Lawton, Wv to the late William and Maude Pomeroy.
Besides her parents Violet is preceeded in death by her dear husband Noah H. Gillespie, brothers Ira Pomeroy, and Charles Pomeroy, and a sister Alice Pomeroy Wiley.
Surviving are sister Thelma Pomeroy of Melborne ,FL. and brother John Pomeroy of Coppers Cove, Tx. She is survived locally be her dear niece Koneda Devrick, a nephew Lowell Gillespie, special friend Reba D. Lucas of Branchland, Wv. and several nieces and nephews.
Violet was a homemaker and a life long member of the First Baptist Church in Waverly, Oh. she was also a graduate of Rupert High School, in Rupert, Wv.
Violet loved her family and she loved crafting gifts for them. Besides working her crafts Violet became quite a painter, she enjoyed catching an image and putting it to canvas that way to share it with everyone.
Violet enjoyed her years spent with family in Florida, but always knew the wanted to be back home here in Point Pleasant.
There will be a graveside service Saturday March 16, 2013 at 10;00 a.m. at Kirkland Memorial Gardens with a luncheon to follow at the Main Street Baptist Church in Point Pleasant.
