Virginia Eileen Matheny, age 90, of Leon, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Leon, WV and attended Shiloh Community Church. She was born November 14, 1925, in Leon, a daughter of the late Henry H. and Mary (Miller) Matheny. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Omer H. Matheny.

Virginia is survived by a sister, Margie V. Matheny, of Leon; and two brothers, Carl A. Matheny, of Norfolk, VA and Donald D. and Dian Matheny, of Leon; and also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Virginia will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Johnny Hayman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Leon-Bethel Cemetery.
