Vonda Mae (Plants) Jordan, 73, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a homemaker and attended Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, where she participated in the Quilter's Circle. She was also an avid bowler for many years. Vonda was born November 25, 1939, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Leo and Claire (Gill) Plants. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Workman.
Vonda is survived by her husband, Bill Jordan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Kris Jordan, of Fredericksburg, VA and Tom and Robin Jordan, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Emily, Katie and Anna Jordan; brother, Jack Plants, of Point Pleasant; and sisters, Eileen Stephens, Doris Jarrell, Mary Hudson and Debra Cox, all of Point Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Mathew Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 6, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
