Wallace S. "Wally" Albright, age 91, of Point Pleasant, went home to Heaven to be with his Lord, on Friday morning, June 3, 2016, at the Putnam Center, in Teays Valley. He was a meat cutter at Johnson's Supermarket and worked at Tiny's Market, in Gallipolis. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene, in Point Pleasant. Wally was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion, Mason County Post #23.
Wally was born September 22, 1924, at the mouth of Isom, WV, a son to the late George and Roxy (Mitchell) Albright. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Stewart) Albright; his sons-in-law, Rev. Charles Luckeydoo and Ron Knotts; and also four brothers and four sisters.
Wally is survived by his children, Eric and Janice Albright, of Scott Depot, Karen Luckeydoo, of Gallipolis and Lois Knotts, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, James Wallace Albright, Erica Marie Doughty, Will and Wally Luckeydoo, Paula Jones, Charles Spencer; and several great-grandchildren. Wally is also survived by longtime family friend, "Aunt Ginny" Sanders a well as his care giver Valerie Jordan.
Wally's life will be remembered at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens, with military honors being provided by American Legion Post #23 and W.V. Patriot Guard. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
