Obituary

Rev. Wallie Wayne Hart, Sr., was called home to be with his Lord and Savior December 7, 2008. Wallie was born October 23, 1952, to the late Famous Hart and Scotty Mayes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Messer; a brother, Tommy Hart; and a daughter, Charity Turner.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Betty Hart; one sister, Erma and Jim Whittington; four sons, Billy Bonecutter, Wallie Hart, Jr., Joseph Hart and Joseph Messer; three daughters, Debbie and Vern Mullens, Barbara and Christopher Thomas and Jessie Messer; eleven grandchildren, Cody Mullens, Parker Hill, Chelsea Mullens, Evan Hill, Caetia Mullens, Dakota Turner, Joseph C. Messer, Ciara Garland and Charlotte E.M. Messer. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was a fine christian man and served the Lord for 32 years. He was Pastor of The Gospel Lighthouse Community Church on Chestnut Ridge Rd. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008, at the Gospel Lighthouse Church, Neal Rd., Point Pleasant, with Rev. Lloyd "Junior" Mayes and Rev. Verlin "Sampy" Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Flatrock. Visitation will be held at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
