Warren W. "Sonny" Miller, age 79, of Point Pleasant, was ushered into the presence of Jesus on Sunday, April 29, 2018, in the Emergency Dept. of Pleasant Valley Hospital.  He was retired from American Commercial Barge Company and Madison Coal Supply, having worked over 62 years on the river.  He was also a member of the First Church of God.

Sonny was born June 5, 1938, in Kingtown, a son of the late Warren W. and Charlotte Mae (Swisher) Miller.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lea Mae; and his brothers and sisters.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Johnson) "Patty" Miller; daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Jeff McCarty, of Jackson, OH; his grandchildren, Joshua Schoonover, Autumn Elmore, Seth Hill, Caleb Hill and Joshua McCarty; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Adalynn Elmore, Ava Schoonover, Luna Mae Hill, Cooper and Addison McCarty; several nieces and nephews; and Pappy's two special buddies, Isabella and Kamron Patterson.

Sonny's life will be remembered at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Patterson and Rev. Carl F. Swisher officiating.  Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening, May 4, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made in Sonny's memory to the First Church of God Building Fund, 2401 Jefferson Ave., Point Pleasant, WV  25550.
