Wayne Eugene McNeal age 58, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away December 31, 2021 at Cabell Huntington Hospital Surrounded by his family who are devastated by his passing. He fought a hard battle with a fighting spirit.
Wayne was born May 28, 1963, in Radkliff, Kentucky, and is a 1981 graduate of Grahm High School in St. Paris, Ohio where he was active in choir, band and football, he is also a graduate of Xavier University.
As a 3rd-generation contractor, licensed forklift operator, equipment operator and a concrete finisher from the age of 9. He co-founded McNeal Construction with his wife Debra Lynn and son Brandon Wayne McNeal on the principle of quality workmanship in which he stood behind.
Wayne took pride in producing immaculate work and was particular about getting things done the right way. His works and close friends, Brandon Wayne McNeal, Ralph Taylor, Sheriff Officer Steve Sickles, West Virginia State Trooper Johnathon Miller, Patrolman Tyler Deweese, Sheriff Officer Charlie Osborne, Darren Ropp, Josh Smith, Cory Staats and Zach Mayhew can attest to his strong work ethic and insistence to never cut corners. At any time, day or night, he took calls from others seeking his knowledge, advise and help about any type of building construction from the ground up, inside and out.
Though Wayne was a man of few words, he was even-tempered and always had time for anyone in need and loved many. He had a very special love for the construction trade and helping others.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father William McNeal, grandparents Lloyd & Katherine (Days) Lauderback, Uncle Allen Harris, Dorothy (Hunt) Stover and Eliza (Cossin) Hunt.
He is survived by his mother Janet (Lauderback) McNeal of Urbana, Oh. his wife of 33 years Debra Lynn (Stover) McNeal and son Brandon Wayne McNeal of Point Pleasant, WV., brother, Gary McNeal of Urbana, Oh, niece and nephew, Amber (Sam) Molton, and Nathaniel McNeal, Martha Harris, Doug (Chris) Harris, Marsha Estep and family, Dick (Ruth) Beaty family, Alice Lauderback family, Mary "Billianne" McCoy Lanham, Don (Tammy) McCoy, Yvette "Cossin" Rogers, Brenda Carol "Knight" Chaffin, Richard (Julie) VanMeter, Ronald Bibb and Denise, Doug (Zena) Bibb and Hunter, Timmy and Austin Bibb, Danny (Connie Jane) McMannis, many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Urbana, Ohio and Columiana, Alabama, Scott (Andrea) and McKeehan Justus, Dale Stump, Tersea Roach, John Thompson and his beloved cats, Angel-Lynn, Porkchop, Chevy-Lynn and Madam Crack Head.
Wayne attended Heights United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant, WV and was on the Board of Trustees where he dearly loved the Lord, and his Heights Church family.

Visitation will be at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home on Monday January 10, 2022, from 6-8 PM with funeral service at 8 with Rev. Charles Marker, and Rev. Joe Nott officiating.
