William Richard "Rick" Blazer, age 56, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the Ohio State University Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio. Rick was born on May 1, 1959, in Gallipolis, a son to the late Richard Blazer and Judith Ellen (Mitchell) Couper, who survives him.

In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his wife, Laura Blazer; sons, Ricky, Ryan, Steven "Tiny", Tommy, Danny and Derek Blazer; twelve grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters, Robin, John, Tommy, Julie, Andrea and Amy.

Rick's life will be remembered at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Nott officiating. Burial will be held privately. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family has requested that instead of flowers, please make contributions to the Jackson Ave. Baptist Church, in Rick's memory. Also, the family has requested casual dress for the visitation and funeral, encouraging that blue jeans are appropriate.
