William E. "Bill" Hornsby, age 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at his home. Bill was born January 7, 1932, in Whitesville, WV, a son to the late William E. and Ruth (Williams) Hornsby. Bill was a retired licensed funeral director and embalmer for 40 years in funeral service, after receiving his degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He was a member of the First Church of God, in Point Pleasant, Minturn Lodge #19, A.F. & A.M., and was a member of the Scottish Rite, and a 32 ^nd Degree Mason of the Valley, of Huntington, WV.

Besides his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Ann Arnold; and brother and sister-in-law, Larry E. and Inga Hornsby.

Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Pat (Webb) Hornsby; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Jack Miller, of Point Pleasant; granddaughter, Rachel (Kevin) Law, and their children, Greyson Thomas and Elliott Grace, who were his great-grandchildren; two sisters, Addie Mae Shimer, of Martinsburg, WV, and Wanda Lee Dolin, of Fosterville, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

Bill's life will be celebrated in a funeral service, at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastors Bob Patterson and Carl "Boxer" Swisher officiating.  Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m., until the time of the service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions in Bill's memory to either the First Church of God Building Fund, 2401 Jefferson Ave., Point Pleasant, WV, 25550, or to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 6th Ave, Huntington, WV 25701. The family would like to thank Susan Swisher for being such a wonderful caregiver.
