William Boyd "Scooter" Jefferies, III, age 47, of Point Pleasant, WV, gained his wings on January 3rd, 2022, at home, with his family by his side. "Scooter" was born December 9th, 1974, to the late, William B. Jefferies, Jr. and the late Belva Marie "Poochie" Jefferies. William was a graduate of Elkins High School. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Lee Jackson and a sister Darla Jefferies. Maternal Grandparents, Theodore Rosevelt and Marie Bessie (Anderson) Smith. Paternal grandparents William Boyd and Edna Lorene. Late mother and father in law, Brenda Smith, and "Captain" Robert Smith, A grandson Adison Benson, Brother-in-laws, James Gregory "Jimmy" Jones and "Captain" Bobby Smith, and a great niece Erin Nichole Jeffers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julie Smith Jefferies, Daughter, Kourtney Jefferies of Point Pleasant, his sons Brayden Jefferies, Jordan Elliott, Mikie Benson, Scottey (Jennie) Benson, and Kasden Sawyer Smith. He is also survived by his 2 grandsons, who he called his "wanna-be bosses," Carson and Sylas Brannon. They was the light of his world, giving him the nickname, "Pappi." They would remind everyone, "We are Pappi's world." He loved all of his Grandchildren, Michael "Bubby" Benson, Karlee "Sissy Benson, Zachary, Shyanne and Isaiah Benson.
He is also survived by his brothers, Austin Jefferies of Point Pleasant, WV, Paul Daniel (Cynthia) Council, of Langsville, OH, Roy Alan Jackson, of New Jersey, Sisters Donna (Ron) Jefferies Helfert, of Indiana, Gloria Smith, of Charleston, WV. Bonnie Denny, of Hartford, WV. Sandra Shamblin, of Nitro, WV. Rhonda Anderson (Morris) Neal, of Pittsburgh, PA. Ella Mae (David) Greenburg, of NJ. Aunts and Uncles, Gloria and Dennis Flowers of Point Pleasant, WV, and Roger and Paula Jefferies, of Francisco, IN, special sisters-in-law, Cyndy Siders, Sandy Smith, Pam Jones, Jodie Shinn, and brothers-in-law, Billie Smith, and Joe Shinn.
He is survived by many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, best friends, aunts and uncles. Also, an honorable mention to all of his Facebook prayer support group. And a special thank you to Dave Morgan in making sure he was able to get to dialysis. He leaves behind a special lifelong friends, Sarah Crumbley, Chris Taylor and Darrell Garrett.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. There will not be a service held, due to COVID-19 restrictions and his wishes. You may leave condolences to the family via this webpage.
