William Kenneth Love (1946–2025) passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, in the comfort of his wife's embrace in Huntington, WV. Ken was born December 1, 1946, in Ft George G Maryland. Ken was adopted and raised by his paternal grandparents George S Love & Mary Alice Love. Growing up, he attended primary school at The Mission and later graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1964 with his lifelong friends John McConihay & Koneda Devrick. Ken then attended West Virgina University playing the trumpet in the marching band. Ken went on to graduate from the Gulf Coast Bible College with a Bachelor of Science in 1974. Ken went on to a career working for the railroad, or as he said it "Playing with trains".

Ken married his beloved wife, Lela, in 1978, and together they walked through life serving the Lord with honor as life took them from Texas to Illinois, to Colorado, to Nebraska, to Tennessee, and finally back to West Virginia.

Ken is survived by his wife Lela, children Susan Love, Kevin Mullins, Nelson Love, Kathi Allen, Sean Mullins, & Collins Love. He is the proud grandfather to 21, and great grandfather to 13.

Ken was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, unsurpassed intelligence, and his love of books. Ken enjoyed diving deep into the word of God, writing curriculum for Sunday School, and singing. Ken was part of a traveling quartet in college and then continued to sing with family and friends up to his very last days.

There will be a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with Pastor Mat Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery and visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
