William F. "Sam" Simpkins, Sr., age 56, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, the same place that he worked for over 20 years. He was born April 3, 1962, in Point Pleasant, a son to the late Ronald F. Simpkins and Glenda (Plants) Simpkins, of Point Pleasant.

In addition to his mother, Sam is survived by his wife, Connie (Sayre) Simpkins; son and daughter-in-law, William F. "Will", Jr. and Michelle Simpkins, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Gage and Gaven Simpkins, and Alexis Brewer; great-grandson, Lincoln Brewer; brother, Rick Simpkins, of Point Pleasant; sisters, Vicky Biland, of Gallipolis and Rhonda Kleynen, of Texas; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

There will be a graveside service at Morgan Cemetery, in Leon, on Monday, February 4, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastors Bob Patterson and Carl "Boxer" Swisher presiding. Burial will follow.  Visitation will be held at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, from 11:30-12:30, on Monday.
