Obituary

William Richard Tatterson, 66, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away on Monday evening, May 11, 2015, at his home, with his family by his side. Bill was the owner of Tatterson Appraisal Service and was also a retired Boilermaker with Local #667, Winfield, WV. He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and received his Bachelor's degree from West Virginia University. Bill was a member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church and served as a Board Member of Pleasant Valley Hospital for over 20 years. He also served as a Board Member of the West Virginia State Council for Vocational Education. Bill was born on October 23, 1948, in Gallipolis, Ohio, a son to the late Col. Richard Rex Tatterson and Jeanne (Hoch) Tatterson, who survives him.

In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his wife, Linda (Withers) Tatterson; sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Jill Tatterson, of Gallipolis Ferry, Mark and Angelica Tatterson, of Vienna, and Jon and Amber Tatterson, of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Taylor, Ryan, Claire, Camille, Cooper and Keira Tatterson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Steve Neville, of Point Pleasant and Linda and Kit O'Mara, of Richmond, Va; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Nubia Tatterson, of Orlando, FL., and his mother-in-law Rose Withers.

Along with his father, Bill is preceded in death by his father-in-law Charles Withers.

Bill's life will be remembered with a gathering of family and friends at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. On Thursday morning, at 11:00 a.m., there will be a graveside service at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the 2015 BT5K Columbus Breakthrough for Brain Tumors by giving at the website:www.abta.org, or by registering for the 5k-team "J.D.'s Brainiacs" or donate to his team.

The Tatterson family would like to express their thanks to the Pleasant Valley Hospital Home Health staff for the excellent and compassionate care they provided during this difficult time.
